House Resolution No. 53—Relative to Immigrant Heritage Month.

2world built our country’s economy and created our nation’s unique
3character; and

4WHEREAS, Immigrants continue to develop and expand
5businesses, innovate, strengthen our economy, and create American
6jobs in California; and

10character of our nation with their unique cultures, heritages, and

13securing their own rights and ensuring access to equal opportunity,
14but also in campaigning for a fairer and more just society for all
15Americans; and

18role of immigrants in building and enriching our nation, both

2Assembly proclaims the month of June 2016 as Immigrant Heritage
3Month; and be it further

4Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly transmit copies
