The Controller shall reimburse a county that requests assistance with costs incurred conducting the June 7, 2016, primary election and verifying statewide initiative signatures in an amount not to exceed that established by a formula created by the Secretary of State based on the total number of signatures submitted to the requesting county and the number of eligible voters in that county.
