The following information is revised to reflect amendments
adopted by the committee on August 27, 2015

Summary: This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs
(Department) to develop an allocation formula for funding
provided to counties to support the activities of county
veterans service officers. This bill also requires the
Department to annually report to the Legislature on the impact
of these funds.
Fiscal
Impact:
Unknown costs, potentially in the tens of thousands for the
Department to annually report on the impact of funds provided
in the annual Budget Act to support activities of county
veterans service officers (General Fund).
Minor costs to develop an allocation formula to govern the

Author
Amendments: Amend to remove appropriation and add a reporting
requirement regarding the impact of funds, as specified,
