The following information is revised to reflect amendments
adopted by the committee on August 27, 2015

Summary: AB 192 would allow funds collected through the
existing Pet Lover's specialized license plate program to be
allocated to a nonprofit organization that would disburse the
funds to qualifying spay and neuter facilities, as specified.
The Veterinary Medical Board (VMB) would retain an oversight
role for the Pet Lover's grant program.
Fiscal
Impact:
Likely minor fiscal impacts. The overall limit that allows 25
percent of funds to be used for administrative purposes would
still apply. (Pet Lover's Fund)
