An act to amend Section 106 of the Business and Professions Code,
relating to the Department of Consumer Affairs.

AB 507, as introduced, Olsen. Department of Consumer Affairs.
Existing law provides for the licensure and regulation of various
professions and vocations by boards within the Department of Consumer
Affairs. Existing law authorizes the Governor to remove from office
any member of any board within the department appointed by him or her
for, among other things, unprofessional or dishonorable conduct.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 106 of the Business and Professions Code is
amended to read:
106. The Governor has power to remove from office at any time,
any member of any board appointed by him or her for
continued neglect of duties required by law, or
for incompetence, or unprofessional or dishonorable conduct.
Nothing in this This section shall not
be construed as a limitation or restriction on the power of the
Governor, conferred on him or her by any other
provision of law, to remove any member of any board.
