AB 784, as introduced, Chang. Legislature: moratorium on legislation.

The California Constitution generally vests the legislative power of the state in California State Legislature. Existing statutory law establishes in state government various programs and entities relating to business and employment development, private sector investment, and economic development in the state.

This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would place a moratorium on the enactment of legislation that would result in the net reduction of jobs in the state.

Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
