The following information is revised to reflect amendments
adopted by the committee on August 27, 2015

Summary: This bill establishes, until July 1, 2020, a state
grant program to incentivize increased adoption of open
educational resources at California Community Colleges and the
California State University campuses.
Fiscal
Impact:
The expansion of the use of previously appropriated funds will
allow expenditure of approximately $4 million in unspent funds
from the initial appropriation. (General Fund)
Author
Amendments: Eliminate cost pressure to continue funding for the
California Open Online Library for Education and other
clarifying amendments.
