COMMENTS:
1)Purpose. This is a spot bill that will be used to approve the
final collective bargaining agreement reached this year
between the state and one or more of the state bargaining
units. The current MOUs for four of the state's 21 bargaining
units expire on or around the first of July of this year.
2)Background. Existing law requires, under the State
Employee-Employer Relations Act (the Dills Act), collective
bargaining agreements (MOUs) that are negotiated between the
state and exclusive representatives of each of the 21 state
bargaining units.
