AB 1095, as amended, Eduardo Garcia. Salton Sea: restoration projects.
The Salton Sea Restoration Act requires the Secretary of the Natural Resources Agency, in consultation and coordination with the Salton Sea Authority, to lead Salton Sea restoration efforts. The act authorizes the authority to lead a feasibility study, in coordination and under contract with the secretary, as prescribed. The act requires the secretary to seek input from the authority with regard to specified components of the restoration ofbegin delete theend delete the Salton Sea.
This bill would require, on or before March 31, 2016, the Natural Resources Agency to submit to the Legislature a list of shovel-readybegin insert, as defined,end insert Salton Sea restoration projects, including information regarding project costs and project completion timelines.

5(b) For purposes of this section, “shovel-ready” means those
6projects that are in either the final planning, environmental review,
7or permitting phase.
