Existing law sets standards and guidelines for educational programs for the public schools of the state, including establishing required courses of study for specific grades, and defines various terms for purposes of those provisions, including the term “goal.”
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to the definition of “goal.”

Section 51020 of the Education Code is amended

“Goal” means a statement of broad direction or intent
