California Legislature—2015–16 Regular Session

Assembly BillNo. 1376

Introduced by Assembly Member Perea

February 27, 2015

An act to amend Section 13163 of the Water Code, relating to water quality.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST

AB 1376, as introduced, Perea. State Water Resources Control Board: investigations.

Existing law designates the State Water Resources Control Board as the state pollution control agency for purposes of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act and authorizes the state board to exercise any powers delegated to the state by the Federal Water Pollution Control Act. Existing law requires the state board to coordinate water-quality-related investigations of state agencies and requires a state agency to submit to the state board, for review and comment, plans for, and results of, investigations that relate to, or have an effect upon, water quality.

This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to these water-quality-related investigation provisions.

Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no.
