Existing law permits 3 or more natural persons, a majority of whom are residents of this state, who are engaged in the production of certain products, including agricultural and farm products, to form a nonprofit cooperative association for prescribed purposes.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to this provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
Section 54061 of the Food and Agricultural Code
2 is amended to read:
Three or more natural persons, a majority of whom are
4residents of this state, who are engaged in the production of any
5product, may form an association pursuant to this chapter for the
6purpose of engaging in any activity in connection with any of the
7following:
8(a) The production, marketing, or selling of the products of its
9members.
P2 1(b) The harvesting, preserving, drying, processing, canning,
2packing, grading, storing, handling, shipping, or utilization of any
3product of its members, or the manufacturing or making of the
4byproducts of any product of its members.
5(c) The manufacturing, selling, or supplying to its
members of
6machinery, equipmentbegin insert,end insert or supplies.
7(d) The financing of the activitiesbegin delete whichend deletebegin insert thatend insert are specified by
8this section.
9(e) Any one or more of the activitiesbegin delete whichend deletebegin insert thatend insert are specified
10in this section.
