SUMMARY:
This omnibus committee bill makes various technical changes to
the Fish and Game Code including the following:

1)Removes unneeded references to parts of animals, and clarifies
that a reference to an animal includes a reference to parts of
that animal, except when the context indicates otherwise.
2)Corrects an omission of any reference to the parts of
reptiles, clarifying that parts of reptiles are not treated
differently than parts of other types of regulated animals.
Clarifies various references to reptiles and amphibians;
3)Clarifies the requirement for reports to be printed in the
English language does not prohibit the translation of the
reports into other languages.
4)Provides various other changes to correct grammatical and
technical errors, including cross-references and the deletion
of obsolete agency names.
FISCAL EFFECT:
No additional state costs.
COMMENTS:
Purpose. This bill makes numerous technical changes to the Fish
and Game Code recommended by the California Law Revision
Commission.
The California Law Revision Commission is undertaking a
multi-year, comprehensive review and proposed recodification of

the Fish and Game Code. The Commission recommends this first set
of technical corrections and minor improvements be enacted this
year.
