An act to amend Section 49123 of the Public Resources Code, relating to solid waste.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST

AB 1817, as amended, Mark Stone. Solid waste: garbage and refuse disposal districts: board of directors.

Existing law authorizes the formation of garbage and refuse disposal districts under certain conditions, and requires that a board of directors of not less than 3 members be appointed for each district. Existing law authorizes members of the board of directors to receive not more than $50 per diem for each day of actual attendance at the meetings of the board, up to $100 in a calendar month.

SECTION 1.  

Section 49123 of the Public Resources Code is

(c) For purposes of this section, the determination of whether
16a member of a district board’s activities on any specific day is
17compensable shall be made pursuant to Article 2.3 (commencing
18with Section 53232) of Chapter 2 of Part 1 of Division 2 of Title
195 of the Government Code.

23of a district board, if the secretary is a member of the district board,
