An act to amend Section 25909 of the Government Code, relating to local government.

AB 2074, as introduced, Rodriguez. Fairs.

Existing law authorizes the board of directors of a fair operated pursuant to specified provisions to enter into agreements to secure donations, memberships, and sponsorships, and to enter into marketing and licensing agreements for the receipt of money, or services or products in lieu of money. Existing law also authorizes the board to employ or enter into an agreements with an entity or person to develop, solicit, sell, and service these agreements.

This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to these provisions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.  

Section 25909 of the Government Code is

Notwithstanding any otherbegin delete provision ofend delete law and in
4accordance with procedures established by the board of directors,
5the board of directors of a fair that is operated pursuant to this
6article may enter into agreements to secure donations,
7memberships, and corporate and individual sponsorships, and may

2money, or services or products in lieu of money, and may employ
3or enter into an agreement with an entity or person to develop,
4solicit, sell, and service these agreements. The compensation for
5the entity or person shall be established by the board of directors.
