An act to amend Section 44260 of the Education Code, relating to teacher credentialing.

AB 2124, as introduced, Eduardo Garcia. Teacher credentialing: career technical education.

Existing law specifies the requirements for the 3-year preliminary designated subjects career technical education teaching credential.

This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to that provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.  

Section 44260 of the Education Code is amended
2to read:

44260.  

The minimum requirements for the three-year
4preliminary designated subjects career technical education teaching
5credential shall be all of the following:

6(a) Three years or the equivalent of adequate, successful, and
7recent experience in, or experience and education in, the subject
8named on the credential.

9(b) Possession of a high school diploma or the passage of an
10equivalency examination as designated by the commission.

3(d) Notwithstanding subdivision (a), the holder of a credential
4described in this section shall satisfy the minimum experience
5requirements established by the local educational agency for each
