Unknown.
COMMENTS:
1)Purpose. This is a spot bill that will be used to approve the
final collective bargaining agreement reached this year
between the state and an as yet unspecified state bargaining
unit. The current MOU for 15 of the state's 21 bargaining
units expire on or around the first of July this year.
2)Background. Existing law requires, under the State
Employee-Employer Relations Act (the Dills Act), collective
bargaining agreements (MOUs) that are negotiated between the
state and exclusive representatives of each of the 21 state
bargaining units be ratified by the Legislature.
