An act to amend Section 522 of the Vehicle Code, relating to vehicles.

AB 2451, as introduced, Achadjian. Vehicles: ridesharing.

Existing law defines ridesharing to mean 2 or more persons traveling by any mode, including, but not limited to, carpooling, vanpooling, buspooling, taxipooling, jitney, and public transit.

This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that provision.

Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.  

Section 522 of the Vehicle Code is amended to
read:

522.  

“Ridesharing” means two or more begin delete persons end delete begin insert individuals end insert
traveling by any mode, including, but not limited to, carpooling,
vanpooling, buspooling, taxipooling, jitney, and public transit.
