Existing law establishes the Seed Advisory Board and requires the board to advise the Secretary of Food and Agriculture and make recommendations on matters including, but not limited to, seed law and regulations, seed laboratory diagnostics, and annual budgets required to regulate the seed industry.
This bill would require the board to complete a comprehensive review of the seed program, including a review of the seed laboratory, and prepare and submit to the secretary a report on its findings, on or before July 1, 2018.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
Section 52296 of the Food and Agricultural Code
