Existing law authorizes the Department of Veterans Affairs to establish a pilot project for the purpose of establishing a cooperative housing project for veterans and their families.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
Section 710 of the Military and Veterans Code
2 is amended to read:
(a) The Department of Veterans Affairs may establish a
4pilot project for the purpose of establishing a cooperative housing
5project.
6(b) The Department of Veterans Affairs shall work in
7conjunction with the Department of Housing and Community
8Development to implement the pilot project.
9(c) The Department of Veterans Affairs may use existing home
10loanbegin delete fundsend deletebegin insert funds, in accordance with all laws and regulations
11governing their use,end insert to establish the pilot project.begin delete These funds shall

2use of the funds.end delete
3(d) The Department of Veterans Affairs shall prescribe the rules,
4regulations, and conditions necessary to implement this section.
5(e) Any cooperative housing project established pursuant to this
6section shall be restricted for use and occupancy by military
7veterans and their families for a period of at least 55 years.
