          SCR

SUMMARY: Proclaims February 28, 2015 as Idiopathic Pulmonary
Fibrosis Awareness Day. Specifically, this resolution makes the
          following legislative findings:

1)Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is one of the nearly 7,000
diseases and conditions that are considered rare. It is a
serious disorder causing progressive, incurable lung disease.

2)Approximately 132,000 people in the United States are
estimated to have Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and it may be
5 to 10 times more prevalent than previously thought because
Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is often misdiagnosed and under
            diagnosed.

3)There is a need to increase awareness and detection of
Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis by expanding education and
promoting access to quality care and services for this
            disease.
