          DIGEST:          This resolution recognizes May 15, 2016, as Áo Dài  
          Day.
          ANALYSIS:   This resolution makes the following legislative  
          findings:


          1)The Vietnamese American community desires to designate a  
            special day to invite all residents of California to share in  
            its cultural heritage by wearing the Vietnamese Áo Dài. 


          2)The Áo Dài, the Vietnamese traditional long gown, has long  
            been recognized as the symbol of cultural aesthetics and pride  
            of people of Vietnamese descent.


          3)The Vietnamese American community has held a community event  
            known as the Áo Dài Festival on a biennial basis.


          4)The Áo Dài Festival will be held in San Jose during Asian  
            Pacific Islander American Heritage Month in May 2016.
