SUMMARY:
This measure designates, as the "Joan Lind Van Bloom Memorial
Bridge," the Los Alamitos Bay Bridge on State Route 1 in the
City of Long Beach.

FISCAL EFFECT:
Minor State Highway Account costs to Caltrans to make and erect
appropriate signs; these costs are fully covered by donations.
COMMENTS:
Purpose. This measure honors Ms. Van Bloom, the nation's first
Olympic medalist in rowing, who taught physical education in the
Long Beach School District for 35 years. She died of cancer on
August 28, 2015.
