An act to amend Section 23055 of the Business and Professions Code, relating to alcoholic beverages.

SB 325, as introduced, Hall. Alcoholic beverages.

Under existing law, the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act is administered by the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Existing law requires the Director of Alcoholic Beverage Control, on or before March 1 of each year, to make an annual report to the Legislature on the department’s activities and to post the report on its Internet Web site.

This bill would change the due date of the report to March 31.

SECTION 1.  

Section 23055 of the Business and Professions

is amended to read:

23055.  

On or beforebegin delete March 1end deletebegin insert March 31end insert of each year, the
4director shall prepare and submit to the Legislature an annual report
5on the department’s activities and post the report on the
6department’s Internet Web site. The report shall include, but not
7be limited to, the following information for the previous fiscal
8year:

9(a) The amount of funds allocated and spent by the department
10for licensing, enforcement, and administration.

P2    1(b) The number of licenses issued, renewed, denied, suspended,
2and revoked, by license category.

3(c) The average time for processing license applications, by
4license category.

5(d) The number and type of enforcement activities conducted
6by the department and by local law enforcement agencies in
7conjunction with the department.

8(e) The number, type, and amount of penalties, fines, and other
9disciplinary actions taken by the department.
