agents to purchase advertising space and time from the Green

alcoholic beverage licensees to make monetary or alcoholic
beverage contributions to the Green Music Center under certain
conditions.

Alcoholic Beverage Control.
COMMENTS:
1)Purpose. According to the author, sponsorships and fund
raising are critical to supporting the performing arts
programs offered at the Green Center. As a result of its
location in Sonoma County, the Green Center has attracted
support from local wineries and breweries, and the author
claims the wineries and breweries would like to donate money
and products as part of their support efforts. This bill is
intended to allow local wineries and breweries to sponsor
events and pay for advertising as well as donate beverages to
be sold at the Green Center, helping to raise additional funds
to support the performing arts.
2)Green Music Center. According to the author, the Green Center
presents year-round programming of classical, contemporary,
jazz, and world music in two concert halls and an outdoor
seating area. California State University confirms Sonoma
County wineries and breweries have been supportive of Green
Center activities and would like to provide additional
sponsorship and in-kind contributions. The exception in this
bill is patterned off a similar exception granted to the San
Francisco Symphony in 2009.
