An act to amend Section 6401 of the Labor Code, relating to employment.

Existing law requires every employer to furnish and use safety devices and safeguards, and to adopt and use practices which are reasonably adequate to render the employment and place of employment safe and healthful. Existing law requires every employer to do every other thing reasonably necessary to protect the life, safety, and health of employees.

This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to this provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.  

Section 6401 of the Labor Code is amended to

Every employer shall furnish and use safety devices and
4safeguards, and shall adopt and use practices, means, methods,
5operations, and processesbegin delete whichend deletebegin insert thatend insert are reasonably adequate to
