   An act to amend Section 31050 of the Public Resources Code,
relating to coastal resources.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   SB 790, as introduced, Allen. State Coastal Conservancy: state
policy.
   Existing law establishes the State Coastal Conservancy, which
serves as a repository for coastal lands. Existing law finds and
declares that the agricultural lands located within the coastal zone
contribute substantially to the state and national food supply and
are a vital part of the state's economy.
   This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to this declaration.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 31050 of the Public Resources Code is amended
to read:
   31050.  The Legislature finds and declares that the agricultural
lands located within the coastal zone contribute substantially to the
 state and  national  and state  food
supply and are a vital part of the state's economy.
