          SENATE VOTE:  25-11


          SUBJECT:  Correctional facilities:  construction:  financing


          SUMMARY:  Makes necessary statutory and technical changes to  
          implement changes to the Budget Act of 2016 related to public  
          safety facilities.    Specifically, this bill:  


             1)   Clarifies the Legislature's intent to allow Napa County  
               to retain all previously awarded jail construction funding  
               in addition to the $20 million provided for jail  
               construction in the 2016 Budget.

          FISCAL EFFECT:  No fiscal effect.


          COMMENTS:  This bill ensures Napa county will retain all past  
          public safety facility construction awards in addition to the  
          award made pursuant to the 2016 Budget Act.
