An act to amend Section 600 of the Labor Code, relating to private employment.

Existing law regulates railroad employee hours, and sets forth various penalties for violation of those provisions.

This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.

SECTION 1.  

Section 600 of the Labor Code is amended to

As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise

5(a) “Railroad” means any steam railroad, electric railroad, or

7(b) “Railroad corporation” means a corporation or receiver
8operating a railroad.

9(c) “Trainman” means a conductor, motorman, engineer,
10fireman, brakeman, train dispatcher, or telegraph operator,
11employed by or working in connection with a railroad.
