SB 1152, as introduced, Nguyen. Communicable diseases reporting.
Existing law establishes the State Department of Public Health and sets forth its powers and duties, including, but not limited to, the administration of provisions relating to the prevention and control of communicable diseases. Existing law requires each local health officer to immediately report every discovered, known, or suspected case of designated communicable diseases. A violation of these provisions is a crime.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.
