An act to amend Section 20001 of the Government Code, relating to public employees’ retirement.

SB 1235, as introduced, De León. Public employees’ retirement.

The Public Employees’ Retirement Law specifies that its purpose is to provide a means for public employees who become superannuated or otherwise incapacitated to be replaced by more capable employees and, to that end, provide a retirement system consisting of retirement compensation and death benefits.

This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to those provisions.
