An act to amend Section 8585.05 of the Government Code, relating to emergency services.

SB 1326, as introduced, Nielsen. Office of Emergency Services.

The California Emergency Services Act, among other things, establishes the Office of Emergency Services within the office of the Governor, under the charge of a Director of Emergency Services appointed by the Governor. The act and other existing law set forth the duties and authority of the office and the director with respect to specified emergency preparedness, mitigation, and response activities within the state.

This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the act.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.  

Section 8585.05 of the Government Code is
amended to read:

8585.05.  

Unless the context otherwise requires, for begin delete purpose end delete

(a) “Agency” or “office” means the Office of Emergency
Services.

(b) “California Emergency Management Agency” means the
Office of Emergency Services.

(c) “Director” or “secretary” means the Director of Emergency
Services.
