An act relating to dispute resolution.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 421, as introduced, Wayne. Dispute resolution: automobile
claims.
Existing law provides a comprehensive system for the conduct of
arbitration proceedings and the enforcement of arbitration agreements
and awards. Existing law provides for mandatory civil action
mediation of specified actions in the courts of Los Angles County and
for the courts of other counties at their option.
This bill would make a statement regarding the intent of the
Legislature to enact legislation to provide for a fair and
expeditious process for the resolution of automobile claims under
$15,000.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to provide for a fair and expeditious process for the
resolution of automobile claims under fifteen thousand dollars
($15,000).
