   An act relating to child support.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 989, as introduced, Garcia.   Child support.
   Existing law requires local child support agencies to maintain a
list of persons who are included in a case being enforced under Title
IV-D of the Social Security Act against whom a support order or
judgment has been rendered by, or registered in, a court of this
state, and who are not in compliance with that order or judgment.
   This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to amend
that provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:


  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to amend
subdivision (b) of Section 17520 of the Family Code.
