STAFF COMMENTS: This bill meets the criteria to be placed on the
          Suspense file.

The reentry committee established by AB 3064 is comprised of
representatives of local government, law enforcement, social and
health services, labor, alcohol and drug treatment, housing,
restorative justice, job training and education and re-entry
organizations. AB 3064 requires the committee to meet quarterly
and tasks it with advising the secretary on a range of issues
related to reentry programming and reducing recidivism.

CDCR estimates it will require two additional positions to
provide the staff and clerical support for the committee at an
estimated cost of $150,000, including benefits. Travel, lodging
and per diem for committee members for non-state employees to
attend quarterly meetings is estimated at $10,000 annually.
