   An act relating to juvenile court schools.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   SB 1777, as introduced, Alarcon  Juvenile court schools.
   Existing law requires the county board of education to provide for
the administration and operation of juvenile court schools, as
defined.
   This bill would set forth a statement of legislative intent
relating to providing supplemental education funding for incarcerated
and transitional foster youth attending juvenile court schools.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:


  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to provide supplemental education funding for
incarcerated and transitional foster youth attending juvenile court
schools.
