   An act to amend Section 53560 of the Health and Safety Code,
relating to housing.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 1675, as introduced, Nunez. Transit-Oriented Development
Implementation Program.
   Existing law establishes the Transit-Oriented Development
Implementation Program under the administration of the Department of
Housing and Community Development, to provide local assistance to
cities, counties, cities and counties, transit agencies, and
developers for the purpose of developing or facilitating the
development of higher density uses within close proximity to transit
stations that will increase public transit ridership.
   This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to these
provisions.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 53560 of the Health and Safety Code is amended
to read:
   53560.  There is hereby established the Transit-Oriented
Development Implementation Program, to be administered by the
Department of Housing and Community Development, to provide local
assistance to cities, counties, cities and counties, transit
agencies, and developers for the purpose of developing or
facilitating the development of higher density uses within close
proximity to transit stations that will increase public transit
 riderships   ridership  .
