           SUMMARY  

          This measure designates, as the "Deputy David G. Graves Memorial  
          Freeway" the segment of State Route 41 from Herndon Avenue in  
          the City of Fresno to Avenue 10 in Madera County.

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor costs to Caltrans to make and erect appropriate signs;  
          these costs are covered by donations.  (State Highway Account.)

           COMMENTS  

           Purpose  .  This measure honors Fresno County Sheriff Deputy David  
          G. Graves, who was killed on November 5, 1982 as a result of his  
          patrol vehicle being struck by a pick-up truck driven by an  
          intoxicated driver.
