           SUMMARY  

          This measure designates, as the "Milton La Malfa Memorial  
          Highway," the portion of State Route 99 between Oroville Dam  
          Boulevard West and Nelson Avenue in Oroville.

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor costs to Caltrans to make and erect appropriate signs;  
          these costs are covered by donations.  (State Highway Account.)

           COMMENTS  

           Purpose  .  This measure honors Mr. La Malfa, a farmer who served  
          on many agricultural organizations.  Mr. La Malfa, who was the  
          father of former Assemblyman Doug La Malfa, died on October 5,  
          2008.
