           SUMMARY  

          This bill designates, as the "CAL-FIRE Firefighter Matt Will  
          Memorial Highway," the portion of State Route (SR) 156 between  
          SR 25 and SR 101 in Monterey County.

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor costs to Caltrans to make and erect appropriate signs;  
          these costs are covered by donations.  (State Highway Account.)

           COMMENTS  

          Purpose  .  This measure honors Mr. Will, a heavy fire equipment  
          operator who died on October 9, 2007 following injuries  
          sustained while operating a bulldozer on a fireline in Monterey  
          County.
