           SUMMARY  

          This measure designates, as the "Eric W. Rood Memorial  
          Expressway," the portion of State Route (SR) 20 between its  
          junction with SR 49 and the intersection of Rough and Ready  
          Highway and Penn Valley Drive, in Nevada County.

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor costs to Caltrans to make and erect appropriate signs;  
          these costs are covered by donations.  (State Highway Account.)

           COMMENTS  

           Purpose  .  This measure honors Mr. Rood, a former Nevada County  
          Supervisor, who passed away in 1998.
