           SUMMARY  

          This measure designates, as the "Culver City Police Lieutenant  
          Curtis Massey Memorial Freeway," the portion of eastbound  
          Interstate 10 between the Interstate 405 interchange and the  
          National Boulevard exit in the City of Los Angeles.

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor costs to Caltrans to make and erect appropriate signs;  
          these costs are covered by donations.  (State Highway Account.)

           COMMENTS  

           Purpose  .  This measure honors Lieutenant Massey, who served 17  
          years on the Culver City Police Department and was killed on  
          January 28, 2009, when his unmarked vehicle was struck head-on  
          by a vehicle being driven the wrong way on Interstate 10.
