           SUMMARY  

          This measure designates the Keller Avenue Bridge that crosses  
          State Route 580 in the City of Oakland as the Sergeant Mark  
          Dunakin, Sergeant Ervin Romans, and Officer John Hege Memorial  
          Bridge.

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          Minor costs to Caltrans to make and erect appropriate signs;  
          these costs are covered by donations.  (State Highway Account.)

           COMMENTS  

           Purposes  .  This measure honors Sergeants Dunakin and Romans and  
          Officer Hege, who served 18, 13, and 10 years, respectively, for  
          the Oakland Police Department.  On March 21, 2009, Sergeant  
          Dunakin and Sergeant Romans were killed and Officer Hege was  
          mortally wounded by the same gunman.
