DIGEST : This bill makes minor, technical, and clarifying
revisions to various Government Code Sections regarding
Attorney General oversight of the use of legal counsel by
state agencies.
Senate Floor Amendments of 8/10/10 strike out clarifying
revisions to various Government Code sections and one
Health Code section regarding Attorney General oversight of
state agency use of legal counsel contained in the July 15,
2010 version. These amendments make minor technical
revisions to various Government Code sections regarding

Attorney General oversight of state agency use of legal
counsel by making these sections gender neutral. The
amendments also would make minor technical revisions to
these code sections by changing certain capitalized words
to lower case words. These amendments are germane to the
current bill.
ANALYSIS : Existing law requires the Attorney General to
perform specified duties with regard to providing state
agencies with legal services.
This bill makes technical, nonsubstantive changes to these
provisions.
