   An act to amend Section 1 of the Education Code, relating to
education.

   AB 917, as introduced, Nestande. Education.
   Existing law identifies specified statutes that govern the
operation of the public school system as the Education Code.
   This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that
provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 1 of the Education Code is amended to read:
   1.  This code shall be known  and may be cited  as the
Education Code.
