           COMMENTS

1)Background. The California Governor's Committee on Employment
of People with Disabilities is responsible for providing
leadership to increase the number of people with disabilities
in the California workforce. The committee has 26 public and
private sector members, including representatives from labor,
state agencies, and higher education. It does not, however,
            have any elected officials.

2)Rationale . The author indicates the purpose of the bill is to
ensure educational programs remain a priority when planning
workforce development for youth and adults with disabilities.
