AB 1273, as introduced, Hagman. Prison construction.
Existing law authorizes the financing and construction of state
prison facilities using lease-purchase financing arrangements by
means of the issuance of state revenue bonds, as specified.
This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to sell state land held by the Department of Corrections
and Rehabilitation in Chino, California and use the proceeds for the
construction of a new prison facility.
Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to sell state land held by the Department of Corrections
and Rehabilitation in Chino, California and use the proceeds for the
construction of a new prison facility.
