           SUMMARY  

          This bill repeals five annual reporting requirements for the  
          Department of General Services (DGS), State Architect, and Fair  
          Employment and Housing Commission (FEHC). 

           FISCAL EFFECT  

          With estimated annual costs of approximately $75,000 per report,  
          the elimination of these five reporting requirements would save  
          the state $375,000 a year.

           COMMENTS  

           Purpose  . According to the author's office and the sponsor, DGS,  
          the intent of this legislation is to delete outdated reporting  
          requirements, thereby saving the state money.  The author notes,  
          "This will allow for less time and resources to be spent on  
          needless reports that are not relevant to Department  
          operations."
