           SUMMARY

This bill requires the Director of the Office of Gang and Youth
Violence Policy (OGYVP) under the California Emergency
Management Agency (Cal-EMA ) to "consolidate and streamline
existing state agency gang and youth violence grant programs
with a goal toward giving priority to grant programs that employ
evidence-based practices." This bill authorizes the director to
create a working group to assist in this effort.

           FISCAL EFFECT

No direct state cost as this bill directs a state agency to
pursue a subjective objective consistent with current practice.
