SUMMARY
This omnibus committee bill makes numerous changes, updates, and
corrections to the Fish and Game Code, such as:
1)Authorizes the Department of Fish and Game (DFG) to seek and
accept donations from private and public organizations in
support of its Canine program.
2)Authorizes DFG to issue collectible, commemorative hunting
licenses for specified purposes.
3)Extends for two years sunset provisions for laws relating to
sea cucumbers and Dungeness crab vessel permits would
otherwise sunset next year.
4)Makes it unlawful to remove a collar from a hunting dog
without permission of the dog's owner.
5)Clarifies provisions of the Government Code concerning oil
spills.
FISCAL EFFECT
Minor, absorbable costs.
COMMENTS
1) Rationale. This omnibus bill allows the committee to make
technical changes, updates, and corrections to several unrelated
sections of the Fish and Game Code and other codes, as needed.
